When I posted Lunch Today on June 19th, I mentioned that my opponent agreed to participate in debates this campaign season.

I have news. Someone in the community who is familiar with debate, and public speaking, politics and organizing events is enthusiastic about the idea. He has the resources to arrange these events. I had lunch with him yesterday, and he agreed to take this ball and run with it. To be as non-partisan and impartial as possible, I will have no role in the events beyond being a participant.

This is no longer just an idea, it is an ongoing project. There is a lot of work to be done, and many details to work out, but debates now have an excellent chance of happening.

This is a great development. I look forward to participating.
