My posts on Patch are intended to influence public policy, one reader at a time. I hope that my readers find them interesting, thought provoking, and informative.
That said, my writing is irrelevant if its policy influence does not find its way into the messy world of politics.
In politics, without diligence on the part of the responsible and civic minded, the irresponsible and self-interested will always triumph. This is not a one-time struggle that ends when law is perfected. It is a duty given to the people. As Ben Franklin said, we have to “keep” our Republic. The deadliest diseases of self government are cynicism and apathy. We cannot allow these diseases to overtake us, and keeping them at bay requires effort – “Eternal Vigilance“.
The Minnesota Secretary of State has put together a web page listing all the information needed to find the caucus locations for many of the political parties.
